Link Stress & Desserts

Moral Education make-up was a really really good start to my day. Mr Lee's story was so invigorating, thought-provoking story and totally related to how i felt.

Stress, and what we do to relieve it.

he shared a personal story- of how he unreasonably gave his family a scolding in a fit of anger, how guilt filled through him, how his children even bothered to pray for him, how he was dying to take back those words he said... but everything was already too late.

then i reflected it upon myself. i frequently lose my temper too, and would start yelling at my family without processing the words coming out of my mouth. eventually, guilt and regret would strike me but i still cant get anger management right. guess its human nature.

Next, he went on to talk about a major setback in his life. i can't believe he once faced a $5 million lawsuit and frequented the court for 2 whole years, whoa! Realised that everyone will have their own dark stories in life; i have my fair share which i wanna just put behind and never mention about. just let bygones be bygones.

okay now back to stress... its inevitably faced throughout our lives. but my personal therapy?
retail and dining would do the trick.

i know i sound like a spoilt brat but spending and enjoying a good meal can actually make me feel much better. the opposite of stressed is DESSERTS. see the logic?

So, whenever i feel that the whole world is crashing down on me... just give me a nice cafe, a yummy slice of cake and cup of tea, or even icecream, and i would turn into a happy girl. these indulgences simply takes my mind off depressing thoughts, at least for that moment (:
