my new converses!
FONGorilla. Just for laughs.

another trip to Kent Ridge Wing
MRI stands for magnetic resonance imaging
$798 for this detailed radioactive scanning omg.
the procedure was troublesome- i had to remove almost every piece of thing on me and get changed into this funny suit called the 3-arm hole gown.
looking like crap.
okay the best thing was, they provided a spacious changing room cum toilet for me to get dressed. but the bad? i had to walk out to the main area wearing this silly pyjamas-looking piece of cloth to pass my bag to dad. oh man.
and then the pretty radiologist led me into the screening room where i was instructed to lay on this bed. she secured my right knee (reminding me countless times not to move it at all), stuffed some earplugs into my ears and pushed into this huge white machine.
there were like ultra noisy humping & thumping sounds that was impossible to be masked. so i closed my eyes and rested there for about 40 minutes while she sent radioactive waves to obtain images of my cells and ligaments. what an experience.
daddy brought me for a late dinner at Spizza (:
shared a prawn pasta & a seafood pizza, both so-so.

My Fellow Entertainer

i finally found time to meet this girlfriend i missed!
during that friendship downturn period, this is one company i really needed. my fellow entertainer never fails to make herself free for all our dates and we will always have fun crapping with stories from each other. talking is non-stop with this good listening ear (:
Shokudo Food Bazaar @ Raffles City
we decided to check out the new 'japanese marche' place creating a big buzz. the concept and variety appealed but there were many loopholes in the system- queueing and serving were disorganised, the chefs were unefficient and the worse thing... most do not understand english!
not that they were japanese, they were pure chinese speaking people. so when there is a communication problem, you could try throwing in some chinese. haha.
Spicy Seafood Pot ($8.80)- i liked this one. the soup was palatable with a variety of fresh ingredients and slight hint of chilli powder dissolved in it.
Chicken & Mushroom Soup Spaghetti ($8.80)
Salmon & Ikura Wafu Spaghetti ($10.80)- my pasta was an overload of sodium. the wafu sauce got a bit overwhelming after several mouthfuls and the salmon tastily sauteed in a bed of butter.
Waffles with Icecream ($5.80)- soft waffles with a mixed fruit yogurt icecream went well for us, but it was sweeter than normal.
Not too bad, & there is much more to try!
after dinner i made a short stop at Watson's to get shampoo for my sis and guess what i spotted?
a gigantic chupa chup!
can you imagine if it was purely one whole lollipop omg. but nope, this is a large case containing 15 small lollis inside. lol.
love the entertainer, thanks for being there for me!

I Lost a Friendship
Warning: photos are potential life-destroyers
lets take a lesson learnt from the Edison Chen incident.
Today marks a sad note of my SA life.
i recklessly lost a friendship, impossible to reconcile.
i admit my mistake, reflected and regretted
i am willing to face it but i am not granted a chance to.
will do my part.. to vanish off somewhere somehow.
yes it is a painful but only resort.
time cannot reverse so all i can express now is a sincere apology.
i'm sorry.
but i will pick up and live on from here.
so it marks the end of the days of worrying, tearing, being upset & all.
i am truly affected but i won't show it, especially to my parents.
i promised myself to counter my self-depressionism and be happy for their sake,
shall never be an extra burden to their current problems
nothing beats kinship.
i realised, and will definitely cherish my family fully.
ultra guilty for venting it on Dad this morning.
i failed as a friend & even as a daughter.
this incident also inflicted an important thought in me,
i must treasure all my current friendships, kinships & relationships
every single one of them.
and after i lost one,
i will take this lesson to build on the others.
by god's grace im blessed with them.
OMG then i have to mention doreen!
that dear girl did a sweet sweet thing... made a trip all the way to hunt my house down at 9pm (enduring that fricking long walk from kovan station) just to pass me this...
a little indulge during the mugging period.
THANKYOU PLENTY! (:
pls have a safe trip to hk & have fun!
on a another note:
i'm on high maintainence
today i went to NUH for my knee checkup with the orthopaedic specialist. Dr Andrew Quoc Dutton. $80 for a 20 minute session- with more MRI, more xrays & consultation again to come next week! GOODNESS this is gonna cost a bomb.
and then i still have my SGH appointment with the ENT specialist due next week for a follow-up on my throat. another dunno-how-much bill expected. IM SUCH A BURDEN TO MAINTAIN MAN~ i bring piles of problems to everyone, so no wonder i've become negative of myself.
& guess who had to take all my nonsense then try to make my day?
had to be dad. somehow he could sense something & decided to take me for a good dinner. he knows well enough how good food can take unhappiness off my mind to some degree of extent.
Angus House @ Ngee Ann City
(gosh what a fake smile Hah)
I LOVE MY DAD
& i wanna meet my entertainer so badly!

Something Sweet
Elaine's Breakfast Service 2*
Piping hot japanese Hotcakes~
they were not exact replicas of Mcdonald's but they sure achieved a lovely fluffiness and fragrance on its own, appropriately lifted by a drizzle of maple syrup...

fluffy hotcakes, butter, maple syrup, strawberries, blueberries, bananas & a dash of icing sugar
walnut hotcakes specially added with chopped walnuts bits

i personally fancied the taste because lots of my favourite HL milk was used in them <3
hope they liked it too (:

Pizza Pazza
welcome back my officer!
yes he is back from his first sail, geared up with much more exposure and ready to take me out for more foodie adventure although im still pale and sick.
we first tried Little Part 1 cafe for lunch and were uber satisfied. the food boasted modernity, affordability and scrumtiousness under one roof; particularly loved the mango udon rolls and my mozzarella-oozing salmon crepe~ view more on bitewithjoy.
Step Up 2 The Streets was a good catch too (:
its got this typical new-kid-on-the-block vs old-time-title-hogger plot;
Maryland School of Arts VS 410
where the amateurs eventually succeeded to challenge them. quite worth the money cause it wouldn't get you sleeping nor throw you some silly ending.
one thing- it surprisingly resembled a taiwanese drama serial i have watched. Zi Jing Zhi Dian was also about some commoner street dancers getting involved with the formidable group, except that i would probably feel more entertained watching 5566 & Kone LOL. anyways we followed on to pig out on waffles (with yummy icecream) at ice3 cafe to queensway for shopping.
Pizza Pazza @ Anchorpoint Koufu
i have long heard of it and have been eager to try it. this no-frills establishment have been here for quite some time and won the hearts of many- by the looks of the proportion of people eating from them.
you make your orders and payment, take a number tag and wait for your number to be flashed. as you watch the flaming through the kitchen window.
enticed?
let's tuck in~
Black Pepper Prawns Spaghetti ($8) - extra pasta for him, with 5 crispy battered prawns in his choice of cream sauce
5 Star Fish with Aglio Olio Spaghetti ($7)- two generous baked crusted-toman fillets & aglio packed with the right fragrance and spice. a tad hurting to my throat but really value for the money!
unglam freak caught slurping
Panna Cotta ($1.80)- we couldn't resist this for its price. the wobbly pudding was creamy yet not too rich nor sweet, very much on par with restaurant standard. Perfect.
so were we satisfied?
you bet we were, and very happy indeed (:
now pastamania should get a lil more uptight.
happy 2.5 years!

Ruined Block Tests
on monday, after screwing up my chem paper (because of insufficient time to complete one entire page I KNEW HOW TO DO)...
i choked on dinner, threw up lots of blood
and was rushed to SGH accident & emergency
skipped all the other patients, took an xray and awaited the ENT specialist. he inserted a scope thru my nostrils to remove the food and check out the condition. badly trauma-ed.
everything was pain, pain, intense pain!
for the next few days, i was put under strong medication which came with side effects like diahoarrea, gastric and face swelling. felt so weak all over.
food i ate?
all eeky pureed stuffs!
plus 3 BT subjects missed. boo.

A Happy Family
I'm proud i did some intensive studying today- if 8am-5pm counted.
Tagged along with Dad for a McCafe breakfast at east coast.
i actually woke up on time! 6.45am a triple decker & Fluffy steamed milk + marshmallows
mcdonald's HOP --> parkway parade
where i grabbed a sausage mcmuffin set at $2
(second brekkie for the day!)
I couldn't resist observing the table across me...
THE PICTURE OF A PERFECT FAMILY.
they possessed all it takes to be envied.
A harmonious family of 5 plus an accomodating maid
A loving couple of 3 healthy children, love emblemed by identical tattoos
A sporting father, actively mingling with the boys
A caring patient mother closely attached to the young girl
3 intellectual, joyous yet sensible kids, neither annoying or mischievious
A maid inclusive of the conversations & interections, being politely treated
laughter, joy and a happy breakfast time together, how nice.
perhaps we used to be like this too, but things progressed downwards. as we grow older, we get more intolerant- relationships worsen, bonds weaken and attitudes go astray. let's just accept fate- we can always try but...
things do not always last.
crystal jade macau cafe+ ah chew desserts! (:

Day with Ah Fong
he is not too a bad teacher afterall.
he may be the lamest at times but he can really teach...
& treat us to Swensen's!
-plus a large coffeebean Double Vanilla Tea Latte for me (:
haha consultation with him & huiching was alrite and i managed to learnt lots; like that there used to be some air-conditioned food centre @ chinatown point three years ago and mr fong is such a fickle-minded person. LOL.
