Sharing her Wealth

Poor sis, she have just received her first official paycheck and we immediately exploited a treat from her =p i'm so surprised she agreed! maybe work have helped changed her calculative nature. haha.

i'm glad that she is currently doing fine with AMD, getting along with her colleagues quite well.. but i hate it when they go on and on about this elaine, who apparently isn't me but one of her workplace buddy. but, its still good that she's putting down her anti-social character to mix in with others; cause we all warned her about it. can you imagine spending your whole working life being the needle of the eye of the company where everyone talks behind your backs, shuns you during lunchtime, and leaves you with no choice but to dine alone in the cafeteria?

omg so loner. i would rather not eat or venture out far far away to eat alone.

unfortunately, these things do exist in the real world. and all those scheming gossipy office politics are simply too complicated to get involved in. and since she's getting along, it certainly calls for a mini celebration. *nods head.

Pasta de Waraku @ Marina Square
when italian goes japanese

bright alluring displays

pizzas pastas gratins desserts, they serve almost all you can ask for. over here they use a much healthier form of dressing- mainly wafu sauce, which is a type of simmered fish stock. light and non-cloying.

prawn and mushroom in wafu sauce

salmon roe in wafu sauce

chicken and mushroom in tomato sauce

then came my... seafood salad pasta!

which got all of them peering over.

cold refreshing spagetti topped with salmon, tuna and ika sashimi slices plus lots of salmon roe. the accompanying wasabi wafu sauce given was simply fantastic and went absolutely well with everything! it kills the fishyness of the seafood, adds moisture and a edgy punch to the smooth pasta. its got the kick and that sharp wasabi rush.

both sis and i loved our pastas!
but she liked mine better, heh.

then.. i couldn't resist the temptations to exploit a dessert from her. blame that menu; all their desserts were so prettily illustrated.

strawberry sundae

costs a fricking $8 which was totally not worth it. came half-melted and merely a milk softserve drizzled with strawberry syrup and a few strawberry halves. wth.

anyways,
thanks sis for the treat!

mummy says we cannot be stingy.
so she made sis give me some money incentive as well. woohoo! but it was a direct transaction to the bank, mum took it from it straight away to save it ):

its a happy happy day for us...
but a sad sad day for sis. LOL.
